Amanda’s first surgery took place in 2017, and she went in for revision surgery with a different doctor in March 2023. During1000-lb Sistersseason 6, Amanda saw the doctor, where she was weighed. At her last weigh-in, Amanda weighed 299 pounds; at her most recent weigh-in,the scale read 268 pounds. Getting Hurt Set Her Back
Amanda’s weight-loss plateauwas the direct result of a knee injury she sustained while stepping off a swing set at her local park. She’d thought nothing of it at first, and was later surprised to find out she needed surgery. Being unable to exercise or even move around muchmade it impossible for Amanda to lose as much weight as she wanted to lose. Despite being disappointed in herself, the1000-lb Sistersstar is determined and got back on track in pursuit of her health and fitness goals.

Amandarecently posted a concerning Instagram videoexplaining that she’d been admitted to the hospitalfor three days. The1000-lb Sistersseason 7star explained that she’d been feeling ill, and ended up passing out. Her boyfriend and family convinced her to go to the ER, at which point she was admitted overnight. “I am finally home after a three-stay I the hospital,” wrote Amanda. “For now we wait for a diagnosis and treatment plan.” The1000-lb Sistersstar encouraged people to get regular checkups.
