She Lost 125 Pounds

When Amy made her television debut in 2020, she stepped on a scale to learn that she weighed 406 pounds. Wanting to get healthy enough to be able to have children, Amy had bariatric surgery during the first season, and lost over 125 pounds. She went from weighing over 400 pounds to weighing 281 pounds. When1000-lb Sisterspremiered in 2020, Amy and her husband, Michael Halterman, were newlyweds who seemed to be made for each other.Michael was a fan favorite because he always seemed to be there for Amyand for the rest of her family. Amy had always dreamed of being a mother, but she was too heavy to even get pregnant, let alone carry a healthy baby to term.

After having weight loss surgery, Amy quickly had two healthy boys, Gage and Glenn Halterman.

Sadly, Amy’s marriage to Michael didn’t last long. Their once happy marriage fell apart after their two boys were born.
