With each new set added to the TCG,Disney Lorcanaevolves as players discover ways to utilize the cards from each set and intermix them with their current decks. In the newDisney Lorcana: Azurite Seaset, many cards present opportunities for players to create a new meta deck, or even just perfect their current favorite deck with the use of one of these additions.Azurite Seafeatures a heavy pirate theme in many of its offerings, which can make for some wonderful themed decks that offer unique approaches to the gameplay, as well as just making it fun and cute.
As long as no more thantwo ink types are combined, players can mix and match cards from any set to form their decks, and many ofAzurite Sea’s cards can create some incredible strategies. People should always consider how they typically play. For example, the ideal card choices can vary depending on whether someone is more aggressive at getting lore as quickly as possible or likes to challenge opponent cards in battle more. Of course, whilethere will always be the perfect meta deck list out there, sometimes the best decks can use the most unassuming of cards.

10Heffalumps And Woozles
95/204 EN.6, Emerald Ink
This Heffalumps and Woozles songaction card forDisney Lorcanais a rather unassuming little card. It is a low cost of two ink, or a character of cost two or higher can be exerted to sing for free. Its strength comes from the ability to simultaneouslyprevent an opposing character from questing, while also giving the player of Heffalumps and Woozles a chance to draw another card.
Although it only works for one round, it can effectively prevent players who have a card in play that gives them a substantial amount of lore, or perhaps can even come in clutch at the end turns of a game. And, players are generally always looking for ways to add more cards to their hand.

9You Came Back
97/204 EN.6, Emerald Ink
The Emerald ink action card, You Came Back, is a simple card overall. The card costs three ink and allows players to ready a character. This general ability has been seen many times before on other cards, but always with stipulations which You Came Back does not have.
You Came Back does not have any rule that a character cannot quest or challenge after being readied, meaning that if someone is able to play more than one copy of You Came Back on a character that can quest for four, they could earn a massive amount of lore in just one turn. Alternatively, this ability to ready a card can be used to help protect ones that players don’t want to have challenged.

8Yokai - Enigmatic Inventor
143/204 EN.6, Sapphire Ink
Sapphire ink is commonly known to be heavy on item cards and Inventor characters. Yokai - Enigmatic Inventor makes full use of this ink strength byallowing players to return an item to their hand and then pay two less ink to play another item whenever Yokai quests. Depending on the item, being able to bounce cards in this way can be a strong strategy, and Yokai’s ability to get two lore for questing is a strong bonus.
Unfortunately, Yokai - Enigmatic Inventor is a fairly weak card, with a willpower of only three. This could make him a target to be taken out swiftly, unless protected by a location or bodyguard.
7Maleficent’s Staff
65/204 EN.6, Amethyst Ink
Item cards inDisney Lorcanacan be played to the table and stay there until banished in some way. With Maleficent’s Staff on the table, any time an opponent has a character, item, or location returned to their hand, the player who owns Maleficent’s Staff can gain one lore.
Now, often cards are banished rather than being returned to the hand, yet if Maleficent’s Staff is included in a deck with other cards that have the ability to send cards back to a player’s hand, it can quickly add up to a lot of lore, and only cost two ink to be put out on the table in the first place. This can also be a very useful tactic against players who like to use the Madam Mim and Merlin bouncing strategy.
6Maui - Half-Shark
124/204 EN.6, Ruby Ink
It seems that Maui often has powerful cards inLorcana, which is a perfect fit for his character. InAzurite Seahe has a Legendary card, Maui - Half-Shark. The artwork for this card is incredible, if a bit frightening, but on the table it can be even more so.
Not only isMaui - Half-Shark an Evasive card, protecting him from challenges from many opponents, but he also has a phenomenal rotating ability. Whenever Maui is used to challenge another character, the player can add an action card from their discard pile to their hand, which offsets the continuous problem of running out of cards. The fun doesn’t stop there, however, with shark Maui also having the ability to earn a lore every time an action is played.
This meansa player can use Maui to attack, pull an action out of their discard, play the action card, and then get a lore for playing an actionand have that card return to the discard where it can be pulled again next time Maui challenges.
5Calhoun - Marine Sergeant
191/204 EN.6, Steel Ink
Sergeant Calhoun fromWreck-It Ralphmakes aLorcanaappearance with a strong offensive powerhouse for early game. Calhoun - Marine Sergeant costs two ink to play and seems fairly standard at first with one lore, three attack, and two defense. However,Calhoun also features the Resist +1 ability to protect from damage and can get two lore every time she banishes another characterin a challenge on the player’s turn.
Even if Calhoun comes out late in the game, this card can still offer an extra bit of attack power for challenging opponents, and might be overlooked by some people who are not familiar with the true power of this card.
4Jim Hawkins - Honorable Pirate
25/204 EN.6, Amber Ink
Jim Hawkins - Honorable Pirate is a card that many players will have access to, as it isincluded in one of theAzurite Seastarter decks. That doesn’t make it any less impressive, though, when included in a pirate-heavy deck.
10 Disney Lorcana: Azurite Sea Cards Worth The Most Money
If you want to know what cards will empty your wallet the fastest as the Disney Lorcana Azurite Sea set is released, you are in the right place.
Not only does Jim Hawkins have theBodyguard ability and a strong willpower of seven, already making him a useful addition, but if someone has a lot of Pirate characters, this card can also help with card draw when played. When Jim Hawkins is played on the table, theplayer can look at the top four cards in the deck and if there are any Pirate cards, they can be immediately added to the player’s hand.
3Oswald - The Lucky Rabbit
142/204 EN.6, Sapphire Ink
Another Legendary card, Oswald - The Lucky Rabbit, is one that many players will want to put in their Sapphire ink decks. As said before with Yokai, Sapphire ink has a lot of item cards within its catalog. As long as Oswald is in play, whenever players put a card into their inkwell, they can reveal the top card of their deck. If it is an item card, then that item can be played for free.
Disney Lorcana Reveals First UltraPRO Accessories For Players
Disney Lorcana is unveiling premium UltraPRO accessories in conjunction with the Azurite Sea set in November, and Screen Rant has an exclusive reveal.
With Oswald coming at the low ink cost of two ink, this gives players a chance to play more items early in the game for free. Additionally, he is one of the few low cost cards that can quest for two ink. Sadly, with only one willpower, he will quickly be banished unless well protected.
2Sail The Azurite Sea
163/204 EN.6, Sapphire Ink
Using this action card, Sail the Azurite Sea, players get a good ramp card at a low ink cost.Spending only two ink, Sail the Azurite Sea is a one-time-use action card that gives players a chance to add an extra card to their Inkwell, plus draw another card to their hand. It frankly is surprising that it is an inkable card, as it seems as though it would be a waste to simply ink it.
Early in the game, both these features of adding an extra card to the inkwell and getting to add a card to the hand are crucial. This could be particularly helpful for those who like to try to rush at the beginning. Even if the card comes up later in the game when someone doesn’t necessarily need more ink, playing Sail the Azurite Sea is still a cheap way to draw a new card.
1Lilo - Escape Artist
2/204 EN.6, Amber Ink
Topping the list is a rather unassuming Lilo card, Lilo - Escape Artist. This little two-ink card in the Amber deck can quest for two lore but only has two willpower to protect her with. Thankfully,it isn’t that serious if she gets banished, because of her “No Place I’d Rather Be” ability.
With this ability, if Lilo - Escape Artist is in the discard pile at the start of the player’s turn, they can pull her back out and play her immediately to the table, exerted. Although she wouldn’t be able to quest again immediately without another card to untap her, her continuously bouncing back to the table will frustrate otherDisney Lorcanaplayers at the very least, as she will keep resurfacing for the entire game.
